First off let me warn you I am going to complain alot in this post. I was reminded today of why I am a homebody and a bad mother because I never take my children fun places (are they really all that fun?) Karston and Kenzie's school was going to the zoo today and Tracy was going to chaparone. So Bodee, Kolt, and I rode down with her. We got out of the car and it was colder than heck. We went in and I swear every school from every school district, from every county, from the whole state of Utah was there. We searched for Hooper Elementary and the kids forever and could not find them. It started to snow and then the whining and crying began. Bodee then decided he needed to be up higher to see the black bear so he climbed up the side of the wagon with Kolt inside. The wagon flipped over and Kolt lit right on his face on the asphalt. The crying then become intensified. We then tried to walk on to see some more animals to stop the crying. I ACCIDENTLY ran into a ladies leg with my wagon, well she really ran into us. She turned around and called me a stupid bi$*^% and then proceeded to scum me off and say she wanted to fight. Mind you this was right in front of a bazillion children including mine. The crying and whining continues. It now is hailing and freezing. Kolt is in the wagon chucking everything he can get his hands on out of the wagon while we are trying to walk through the herds of children. The whining of how cold it is gets worse. We then decide to get lunch. After a very long wait and lots of whining of, "Why is it taking forever?" we get our lunch, trek a half of a mile to sit down and eat I open my sack to a missing pretzel. A missing pretzel really isn't a big deal but after the moring we have had it is just the icing on the cake. After lunch the kids seem to be clearing out going to the buses and the clouds start to clear. After that it was quite enjoyable. We went on the little train and I must tell you it was just so awesome! It was definately Bodee's favorite part of the whole day! Poor Tracy never did get to hang out with her kids and she had to spend the day with me and my whining, crying kids. I am so sorry! You are such a sport and a good friend, you never even complained. I need to treat you to a fun girls day out! I am sorry for all the complaining! But, I guess I will never forget just how wonderful the zoo was! Tracy do want to go again tomorrow?

Despite the mishaps, it does sound like a great day!! What a rude lady, I could have called her a few choice words….. and than ran like hell!!!! :)
Wow! Looks like your zoo experience was as good as it gets. Even though it turned out that way, I bet your laughing about it now. My quote of the month is "The crisis of today is the joke of tomorrow." How true is that in your situation?
