12 Month Update

We had our 12 month checkup today. Here are the stats:
Weight 30 punds 14 ounces-99%
Length 32.28 inches-97%
Head 19.3 inches- 98%
I have been really concerned about the whole not crawling, standing up or walking issue. But the doctor said it was perfectly normal because he is so big. He said that him learning how to bum scootch was his way of developing his gross motor skills. Here are some things that Kolt is doing these days:
-Says mama all the time. He still says dada but now it is more about mama (yeah).
-When I show him something I will always say whats that. So now everything he looks at he says whassss tat. It is so sweet.
-He sounds like a little monkey all of the time. Everything is oooh, oohh.
-Crosses his legs in front of him whenever he is sitting.
-Bum scootches everywhere until he is close enough to get on all fours so he can reach out and grab what he wants.
-Pulls up to everything but just to his knees.
-Is obsessed with the potty. He loves to gather stuff up and throw into the toilet. He likes to gather things and put them into containers. He will do it with garbage cans, baskets, anything.
-Loves Bodee and has to be right in the middle of whatever Bodee is doing.
-Waves bye bye but not usually at the appropriate times.
-He is such a flirt and and smiles and goos at everyone that will pay any attention to him. He is so bad at doing this in the stores whenever anyone passes him.
-Loves to dance and rocks out anytime he hears music.
-When we get on the four wheeler he starts to rock and says broom broom.
-Loves to play in the dirt. He is constantly getting into the flower garden and playing in the dirt. Then he has started picking all the petels off of the flowers. I think my tulips lasted about 2 days.
-Has four teeth on top, two on the bottom, and he got his first molar last week.
-Has been able to roll from his back to his front for months now but he just learned that he can go from his front to his back now. So diaper changes are not so fun anymore. He is such a squirmy wormy.
This age is so fun. He is so playful and happy. I love it that his personality has really started to come out but yet he is not old enough to really be naughty and throw temper tantrums. I feel like I am enjoying Kolt at every stage so much more than I did with Bod. I was still working when Bodee was a baby and doing lots of stuff. It just seemed that I was always very rushed and going from place to place. With Kolt I have slowed down and am just enjoying every minute with him. I feel such a huge connection with Kolt because I have been able to be with him every minute. It is so fun to watch him grow and learn and do new things.
