Jody and I dumped the kids off and ditched our husbands for a few days of fun and shopping. We left super early Friday morning and headed up to Swiss Days. As always it was crazy busy and everytime I go there I am amazed at how many people are there. It also amazes me the things people are buying like crazy. This year there were these branches of wood with a witch hat on the top and a broom on the bottom. They were $40 and they were seriously a branch from a tree! I am sorry if someone who reads this bought one and loves it. I just didn't get it! We went through all the booths fairly quickly so we headed over to Park City for some outlet shopping. We pretty much got all of our outlet shopping done so we checked in to our motel and got a non interupted nap. I can't tell you the last time I took an actual nap by myself without being woken by kids. It was VERY nice! We even got to take in a movie that night. We saw the House Bunny. Very cheesy but pretty funny. It is something that I would have never gotten to see. We did a little more shopping the next day after leisurely sleeping in and getting OURSELVES ready. I forgot how quickly one can get out the door when you only have yourself to be accountable for. It was so nice to get away and I had a great time. Although I missed my kids terribly it was a much needed break. Thanks Dawn for taking them. And thanks Jody for such a fun weekend!
I nearly had to fist fight for this witches hat! I intended to hang it on my front door but it looks pretty fitting on me!
You can't tell from the pic very good but I had taken the seats out of my car and the whole back was full of stuff. We did some pretty major shopping!

I totally saw the stick witch things last year and everyone had one. It would be so easy to copy and make on my own. It looks like you had a blast. I love the excitement down there.
Ah.. I haven't been to Swiss Days forever.. That is such a cute witch hat you got.. I love Halloween decorations.. it's my absolute favorite holiday to decorate for!!!
Thanks for not inviting me. I've always wanted to go to Swiss Days. Next year call me. I love the witch hat you bought. You have good taste in crafts. Really, truly seriously when my life becomes less of a circus, we are going to have a craft day. I'm sorry it is impossible for me to plan anything right now. I'm just trying to survive one day at a time.
