Pendleton Family Reunion

Yesterday we attended the first annual Pendleton Family Reunion. Matt's cousin Kerbi took it upon herself to create this joyous event because no one ever gets to see eachother anymore. We even had Uncle Ronnie from Alaska there and Ralph and Barbara from Idaho came. We were missing only a few family members. Kerbi did an awesome job and she should be very proud of herself. We had lots of yummy food and she even planned entertainment for us. We had a family trivia contest which I must say there was some pretty tough questions. Kerbi was sitting on a stool in front of us all and Matt was wandering around behind her pretending to be munching on the food. He was actually looking over her shoulder and reading the answers to her questions. At one point he was yelling out the answers before she even got the whole question out. She never quite got it and she awarded him a big prize basket for winning. What a cheater!
We had a stick horse race which the adults even had to participate in. I was trying to run so fast that I tripped, my horse went flying out from underneath me and I almost lit on my nose. I am so athletic! Bodee won the prize for having the fastest time (in the under 5 catagory, we just didn't tell him that).
We then had a dummy roping contest. For some reason it only ended up as Matt, me, Frank, Kerbi, and Kaelynn as the constestants. Matt and Frank won and they were awarded this awesome trophy saddle and Montana Silversmith buckle. Notice the buck on Matt's belt. It is a small heart with a princess crown on it. The saddle had been written on with a Sharpie marker and said Pendleton Family Reunion Dummy Ropin Champions. Pretty Funny!
We had such a good time and it was so good to see everyone. I forget how hard I can laugh when I am around Matt's family. Especially Kerbi, she is a crack up. Kerbi if you read this it is called a three looper not a three header :)!
