We Have A New Baby Girl

She is very sweet. I rescued her from a not so great home. She was not treated very well and did not get as much human contact as she should have. The owner actually told me that they really paid no attention to her and fed her when they could afford to. So needless to say she is very shy and a little scared. We have some work to do to socialize her and get her to realize she deserves to be loved. She is very cute with the kids and Kolt chases her around all day saying, "Dog, dog". She would much rather the kids touch her than an adult. But we will work with her and get her to know that we love her. Her name is Kippers but I am so not crazy about it. Does anyone have any suggestions that would maybe sound like her name so she knows I am calling her but not have to actually call her Kippers.
