We spent Christmas Eve with my family at my parents house. We had a yummy dinner ( so I heard, I couldn't eat, I had the flu) and then opened a few presents. The highlight of the night was I got up and announced to everyone that because of the rough economic times we couldn't spend a lot on gifts but I found some used items that they would probably really enjoy. They all looked a little bewildered and then they each opened them to find used "amateur adult films". And I mean amateur, they were horrible. Our friend Scott got them in a storage shed he bought and didn't know what to do with them so I figured I would take them off his hands and get a good laugh out of it. You should have seen my grandmas face. It was priceless!
The boys got a new sled from Grandma and Papa
Bodee, Papa, Loni, Laura, Cheyenne, and JC
Matt, Kolt, JC, Bodee, and Trev
Grandma Jo, Loni, Laura, Kolt, and Cheyenne
Doggie pile on Cheyenne. This seems to always be the best part of going to Papas house. WRESTLING!
We wanted a family pic but this is the best we could get.
Bodee got a new Nintendo DS. He was way excited.
We skipped the traditional cookies for Santa this year. I really wanted to teach Bodee the true meaning of Christmas so I told him the story over and over while we made this Birthday Cake for Jesus. After we were done Bodee even wanted to sing to him and blew out his candle. It was pretty cute, but he kept asking me is Jesus going to come to our house tonight instead of Santa? He said because I really want Santa to come.

Thats a great idea about the cake. It's hard to teach your children what Christmas is all about because of all the commercial celebrations. Good iea!
