Back To School

Bodee went back to school this week. He is 7 years old and going to first grade. He is 7 because I held him back for a year. Because his birthday is so late I wanted him to be the oldest instead of the youngest. Best decision ever! Every one of his teachers has told me how smart that was. He is a leader, helpful, and top of his class where I think that if he was the youngest he might have struggled. I know it is a personal decision for every parent but I believe I made the right for one for Bodee. Bodee weighs 55 pounds, has lost four teeth which are all coming in with permanent teeth. He loves to wear stylish clothes and I call him my little diva! He loves to go shopping and look at clothes online. This year he told me he would only wear Fox, Metal Mulisha, Hurley, and Nike clothing to school. Seriously?? He loves his friends more than anything on the planet and wants to play constantly! His bff's are Cole, EJ, and Karsten which are all 1-5 years older than him. I keep telling him to leave Karsten alone he is getting way to old to want to play but he idolizes him! He loves to play outside and do crazy things like ride his bike down the irrigation ditch against the water, race his buddies on his dirt bike, swim in ditches, shoot his guns and bow and arrow, catch frogs and grasshoppers. Just the other day all 5 neighborhood boys were catching grasshoppers and I was burning a pile of wood and cardboard from our construction mess and they informed me that they were catching them to throw them in the fire to watch them burn! Bodee loves the water and even though the pool is not finished and is disgusting because the filters and pumps haven't been hooked up, he constantly wants to swim in it! Disgusting! Bodee has become a very picky eater and doesn't like anything I cook but he is constantly hungry! He always wants to go out to eat and Warrens breakfast is his favorite! He is a skinny little thing but very buff, has a six pack and in very good shape! He has the prettiest skin and is so so tan! He gets the cutest bleached blond hair in the summer, people ask me all the time who colors it LOL! Bodee loves his dad and wants worships every thing he does. I think he could pretty much could just do without me! He won't even hug me anymore :( he says he is too old! Bodee LOVES his sports and his very athletic. This year was our first year of football. He is one of the smallest on the team and the very youngest but one of the players that puts his heart and 100% into every practice, play, and game. It is 7:00 on a Sunday morning and he has is football attire on (who knows why)! Next year he will have a year under his belt, know the drills, and probably do well because he loves it so much! He really excels at baseball and loves it very much. He played two years up this year so he was playing with third and fourth graders and he did awesome! He doesn't love school but does very well in it. He is an exemplary student and gets his work done very fast and is such a good reader. His teacher tells me that he is her assistant because he does so well she has him help the other students with their work when they are struggling. I think his favorite part of school is picking out his outfit and riding the bus with his friends. Homework is his least favorite. Bodee is very big brother like to Kolt, always teasing him and making him squeal. Drives me crazy but at times I see a hint of brotherly love. Bodee is very independant and would leave the house in the morning with his friends and come home when it gets dark if he had his way. I think he thinks he is 12 not 7. I am in for it when he is 12!
