Tag Your It!

My friend Lindsay tagged me and as I read hers I thought this was such a fun idea! This is my first time tagging as well so I hope I do it right.

The rules: each player lists 6 facts or habits about themselves. At the end of the tag the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. My interests have changed drastically in the last few years. Before I had kids I ate, drank, and slept horses. Now I could hardly care less. I still love my horse and think they are so beautiful but now I just think he looks beautiful out in the pasture! Before kids I was barrel racing every chance I got and when I wasn't doing that I was exercising horses, cleaning their stalls, and feeding them. Now I guess all I do is those things for my children. I know that my time is mainly consumed by my kids but if I really really wanted to I could find time to do the horse thing. I think my heart really is not in it anymore. Now that I have found life without horses I realize that there are other things to do. I used to not be able to even imagine life without horses but now I kind of like it (aren't I bad?).

2. I am very efficient. I cannot stand when there are things to be done and they are not done. My old boss Tanya would bring me a stack of invoices to enter in the computer from the past month; which was a lot. I would stay up until all hours until every last invoice was entered. It drives me bonkers when there are things stacked up that need doing. I drive my husband crazy because I want everything done right now! I am the opposite of a procrastinator. My Christmas shopping is usually almost done by July. Sometimes I know I am out of control but I just can't help it! But in a positive light I am an excellent employee but I probably dirve all of my coworkers crazy because I am a Natzi. Speaking of Natzi, my favorite charcter on Greys Anatomy (favorite, favorite show) is Bailey aka the Natzi!

3. I love crafts and creative tasks. I never ever used to but in my old age I have learned to love them! I have yet to get into the whole scrap booking thing yet but I love everything else. My favorite part of Christmas is wrapping the presents because I get to make everything look so pretty. I love it when things look pretty! I love craft boutiques and home decor and now I would even rather go to the home decor department of a store than the clothes section. This is total opposite of me 10 years ago but I guess this what happens to a girl as she gets old.

4. I crave simplicity. I feel with two kids everything is just crazy. I love things neat and in order. I love it when everything has a place and is in its place. But, now nothing is in its place and everything is always so cluttered. And I hate clutter! I can't wait for my kids to be a little older so all the baby stuff goes and I can get rid of toys. I love to bake and cook but the mess drives me crazy. I feel like I am too busy trying to clean up the mess then to give all my focus and attention to the dish I am making. This is also a hard habit to have at my house because I feel like I have the worlds messiest family. My husband is total opposite from me and I call him my little piggy. We drive eachother crazy. I guess I think I will be so happy when everything can to go back to neat and orderly but then I will be so sad to not have little kids around.

5. I am a couponer. I went to a class at the Standard Examiner that taught how to use coupons. I started and now I am addicted. I get the hugest rush from going to the store and getting 50 items for $10. The better the deal the bigger high I get. It is so time consuming. I get 5 Sunday papers and then I have to clip every coupon and then file it. But, like I said it is now an addiction. I could run a fortune 500 company in the time I spend on couponing (not really, I am exaggerating a little) but I guess now it is a hobby.

6. I love blogging. I am so glad a friend recommended this to me. I find it therapeutic and I now am recording some big moments as well as the little things that I will want to remember. I also feel like it keeps me close and in contact with people that I would otherwise lose touch with. With busy lives I think blogging lets us keep in touch with people without actually having to do a whole lot. I guess it is a little bit of a lazy way to maintain a friendship but I love reading others blogs and to hear what is going on in their lives.

That is so funny! I too love Greys Anatomy, but I think Bailey can be so mean and onery. She's good at what she does. I think we should have a craft day together. I don't craft much anymore, but still have the tools and stuff. Do you want to get together next week and do a Christmas craft? I love wrapping presents too. Reading your blog makes me realize why we need to be good friends again. We have lots in common. Although if your love of horses ever arises again, you'd have a hard time getting me interested. I'll just cheer you on from the stands!
